Low Carb Crispy Shrimp Poppers

These are crunchy and so flavorful, perfect to top a salad, zucchini noodles, pasta, or just to dip in marinara sauce.

Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 Lbs raw shrimps (peeled, deveined)

  • 2 Egg Whites, whisked

  • 1/4 Cup wheat bran

  • 2 Tbsp Parmesan Cheese

  • 1 Tbsp Dried Basil

  • 1/2 Tbsp Garlic Powder

  • 1/2 Tbsp Onion Powder

  • 1 Tbsp Red Pepper Flakes

  • Salt and Pepper to taste

Directions

  1. Preheat your oven or air fryer to 400F and grease a baking sheet.

  2. Whisk together Wheat Bran, Parmesan, Basil, Garlic, Onion, Pepper Flakes, Salt and Pepper.

  3. In a separate bowl, whisk the 2 egg whites.

  4. Set up a dredging station with the wheat bran mixture, egg whites, shrimp and baking sheet.

  5. Coat each shrimp in egg whites, then dredge in wheat bran mixture and place shrimp directly on baking dish (or Air fryer tray).

  6. Bake for 15 minutes (8-10 minutes in the air fryer) or until shrimp are golden and crispy.
