Practical Approach to Navigating Diet Culture (Healthy Quesadilla and Low Fat Ranch Dip Recipe)


Low carb, keto, high fat, no fat, celery juice, bone broth, juice cleanses, dairy free, gluten free, vegan, vegetarian….HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO KNOW WHICH ONE IS THE “RIGHT” WAY OF EATING?


In the digital age we live in, we are overloaded with different ways of eating and constantly being told contradictory information on what we should be doing to achieve our goals.


NAVIGATING through the plethora of information on dieting and wellness can be tricky and often overwhelming. That is why it is so important to bring your attention back to what it is all about, YOU!


Rather than focusing on what you think you should be doing based on what others are doing, focus on your body and how it reacts to the foods you are putting in it! Just as every human is different, our reactions to fitness and diet vary as well. Because one person is doing something that works for them does not mean it will work for you!


Only you can feel and know how you react to different ways of eating. Look within and focus on what works for you, stick to that and be CONSISTENT! Abide by a wellness routine that brings you happiness in your mind and your body! Personally, when I let go of the pressure that surrounds the wellness industry, wellness became a source of positivity for me. .


RECIPE:


- 1 wrap (i recommend @sietefoods or @angelicbakehouse )

- 1/4 cup part skim Mozzarella

- 2 tbs parmesan

- Seasoning (optional-ish): trader joes umami seasoning, garlic powder, black pepper, red pepper flakes.



THE REAL STAR OF THIS DISH is the “RANCH DIP”:

- 2 tbs light sour cream mixed with 1/2 tbs of Wise green onion dip... IT IS NEXT LEVEL GOOD.
